Current Project: Home
We've been visiting Wolfe Island since the mid-1990s. And once here, I always wished I could stay longer.
This year, in the middle of the pandemic, we decided to make the move from Silicon Valley. It was a leap of faith; we sold our house in California, found one to rent on the island, and shipped our belongings. We traded in our cars for a pickup and a truck camper, and headed north. (See the blog to follow our travel up the west coast and across Canada.)
Rather than capturing pandemic scenes as so many photographers have done, I have found myself needing to turn increasingly to nature--and this is the perfect place for it. We've made one or two short day trips--there are a few images here from nearby areas--but we're mostly sticking close to home.
Watching the seasons change, discovering the wildlife, and immersing myself in the natural world has fed my soul and brought me joy. I share these images in the hope that they will do the same for you.
